Aloe me to explain

Today I want to talk about my Aloe Vera's which are doing marvelous! I have two three huge parent plants and I have seen some babies poking out of thier planters!

Aloe Vera is an important plant among the succulent cultivator. It has many medicinal properties , such as a natural antibacterial  and pain relief . It is used in topical medications to treat :

- Cuts
- Burns
- Frostbite
- Rashes/ Skin Irritation
-Psoriasis/ Dry Skin
- Cold Sores
- Acne/ Face Moistrizer

Some of the useables of Aloe are edible/ ingestible but I must add a disclaimer:
For people with Aloe allergies the allergic reactions may include but are not limited to:
- Contact dermatitis
- Mild redness and itching
-Difficulty breathing
-Swelling of face , lips, and tounge.

I have always loved these strange alien looking plants. When I was young my mother would snap off an "arm" and dab the gel on my cuts and burns and I would be fine the next day or so. Which is why as an adult I just simply had to grow and propagate them.

We always have luck with our aloes here on the farm. Especially when they've been in the warm greenhouse all winter. This year this mama became so root boundand there were so many young aloes fighting for sunlight. So not having anything else better to do i decided to transplant her and see how many babies she had. I started out by wrestling her out of the container. I pulled her out of the container and sat her on the ground. I very gently pulled the "younglings" away from the root ball . Small snaps were heard but each younglings had it's own root ball and was healthy. I pulled so many off of the main aloe! I must have ended up with 25 young aloes to start new pots!
